The experts in dental implants in Nottingham; we offer both single and multiple implant options to replace your damaged, decaying, or missing teeth at Hilton Dental Clinic.
We can lose teeth for a number of reasons; including an accident or facial impact, infection, or due to poor oral health or tooth decay. Dental implants are an aesthetically pleasing, permanent alternative to teeth replacement treatments like dentures, which can be uncomfortable and socially awkward. We use dental implants to replace both single and multiple teeth,
I was really nervous at the prospect of having a dental implant and the cost means expectations were high. I can really recommend Hilton dental clinic if you are thinking of having one. Right from the start I felt really well looked after each step of the process was so well explained and detailed in both written and face to face appointments. There was also a high attention paid to safety and keeping everything extremely sterilised to minimise any risk of infection. I am thrilled with my new tooth!
A single tooth replacement is a fairly straightforward procedure, using a dental implant to complete your smile.
A dental implant looks like a small screw – made from titanium – which is securely fused into the precise position of the missing tooth and acts as a ‘root’ to hold a false tooth or crown in place. Once fitted, the implant will provide long-term support for your new replacement tooth which will be colour and shade matched to your natural teeth.
If you’ve lost multiple teeth, you may be wearing a denture or partial denture.
It’s no secret that dentures can cause discomfort, difficulty eating, and embarrassment in social situations, but you don't have to eat soft foods or wear dentures for the rest of your life! Replacing multiple teeth is similar to the procedure to replace just one, and in some cases, we can even replace multiple teeth with just one implant which can support a bridge of up to four teeth in a row.
The practice is so professional and relaxing, you are so at ease when coming here.. certainly no nerves.
Our dental implant patients are consulted on a one-on-one basis to ensure you’re fully aware of what the procedure involves, give you comprehensive information on the benefits of dental implants, and provide you with support and guidance to help you to make the right decision for your oral health and dental care.
1. Full mouth examination
The first step is to give our patients a full clinical mouth examination to assess your overall oral health, where we’ll check that there’s enough bone remaining for your implant, your mouth is healthy, and that you’re ready to have your implant.
2. Comprehensive treatment plan
After your examination, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive outline of the proposed treatment, full cost, and go through any questions you might have so you can make the most informed choice for your treatment.
3. What your new smile will look like
Our experienced dental technician will prepare a digital mock-up of your teeth after treatment based on your treatment plan, so you can get a good idea of what your new smile will look like with your replacement teeth. We’ll also schedule your future appointments.
4. Implant placement
At this appointment, the dental implant will be gently placed into the bone, which can take between 3-6 months to heal. If the implant is to be loaded with a false tooth or bridge immediately, a temporary crown can be fitted on the same day.
5. Exposing the implants
If the dental implants haven't been loaded immediately, the next stage is for the dental implants to be uncovered and impressions taken, so the dental technician can construct a custom made post for your dental crown, bridge, or denture.
6. Final fitting
For single crowns and bridges, temporary crowns are normally used to ensure that the correct gum profile has been created for the best possible aesthetic result. The final implant supported crown or bridge (artificial tooth) is fitted approximately a month later, and will leave you with a perfect new smile.
We use only the most advanced dental technology to get accurate, detailed impressions of your teeth and gums, for more precise treatment and better results.
CBCT scanner
Our specialist CBCT scanner generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths, and bone in the face; much more detailed than what we can get from a traditional X-ray. This means we can more precisely plan your treatment, and all our dental implant treatments can be provided in-house, without the need to go to a hospital or a third-party lab for analysis.
Intraoral scanner
With the use of an advanced state-of-the-art intraoral scanner, we’ve moved away from the traditional dental tray and putty method of getting teeth impressions, which can create discomfort, gagging, and an overall unpleasant experience for patients. The intraoral scanner allows us to get extremely accurate teeth impressions and more accurately plan your treatment.
I have completed a rigorous two year training programme in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the gold standard qualification in this field. I was further awarded the advanced certificate in Implant Surgery in recognition of my additional surgical skills in block bone and maxillary sinus grafting (making it possible for implants to be placed in areas where there has been extensive bone loss after tooth removal). I am one of only a handful of Dentists to have received this recognition in the UK. As a leading provider of dental implants in Nottingham I accept referrals for dental implant treatment and am a clinical coach, training and helping other Dentists to develop their dentistry skills in the area of Dental Implants.
"Dental implants are a very good solution for missing teeth, they have over the years superseded more traditional treatments which include dentures, which is something that you have to remove, which a lot of people don't like and they would like fixed treatment options."

No, we use local anaesthetic to make sure the process is as pain free as possible. You might experience some slight discomfort or tenderness for a few days while your dental implant is healing, but you can manage this with over-the-counter painkillers.
