All-on-4 Dental Implants

Transform Your Smile in One Day

If you have lost most or all of your teeth — or are facing full extractions — All-on-4 offers something remarkable: a complete, fixed set of teeth anchored on just four precisely placed implants, delivered in a single appointment.

Kamal uses the latest cone beam CT scanning to plan each case with surgical precision. The four implants are angled to maximise contact with available bone, meaning most patients do not need bone grafting, and you leave the same day with a full set of functional teeth.

This is not a temporary solution. All-on-4 is a permanent, life-changing treatment — and at Hilton Dental, it is performed by one of the very few clinicians in the UK to hold the Royal College of Surgeons’ advanced certificate in bone grafting and sinus procedures.

Full jaw dental implants from £12,500.

How All-on-4 and All-on-6 work

Replacing a full set of teeth

We can lose teeth for a number of reasons; including an accident or facial impact, infection, or due to poor oral health or tooth decay. Dental implants are an aesthetically pleasing, permanent alternative to teeth replacement treatments like dentures, which can be uncomfortable and socially awkward. We use dental implants to replace a single tooth and multiple teeth, and we can even replace a full set of teeth to complete your smile using the innovative All-on-4 and All-on-6 dental implant techniques.

The All-on-4 and All-on-6 techniques are a new and innovative approach that secures a full arch of artificial teeth in the jaw without the need for individual screws.

The process involves the use of either four or six strategically placed implants which form a stable and sturdy base for the arch of false teeth to be attached to. The procedure uses state-of-the-art technology such as 3D X-rays and surgical planning software to ensure absolute precision and accuracy, which also means it can be a quick treatment, so you don’t have to spend hours in the dental chair.

Before and after All-on-6 — Replacing Multiple Teeth

Your journey

Your dental implant journey

Our dental implant patients are consulted on a one-on-one basis to ensure you’re fully aware of what the procedure involves, give you comprehensive information on the benefits of dental implants, and provide you with support and guidance to help you to make the right decision for your oral health and dental care.

  1. Full mouth examination

The first step is to give our patients a full clinical mouth examination to assess your overall oral health, where we’ll check that there’s enough bone remaining for your implant, your mouth is healthy, and that you’re ready to have your implant.

  2. Comprehensive treatment plan

After your examination, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive outline of the proposed treatment, full cost, and go through any questions you might have so you can make the most informed choice for your treatment.

  3. What your new smile will look like

Our experienced dental technician will prepare a digital mock-up of your teeth after treatment based on your treatment plan, so you can get a good idea of what your new smile will look like with your replacement teeth. We’ll also schedule your future appointments.

  4. Implant placement

At this appointment, the dental implant will be gently placed into the bone, which can take between 3–6 months to heal. If the implant is to be loaded with a false tooth or bridge immediately, a temporary crown can be fitted on the same day.

  5. Exposing the implants

If the dental implants haven’t been loaded immediately, the next stage is for the dental implants to be uncovered and impressions taken, so the dental technician can construct a custom-made post for your dental crown, bridge, or denture.

  6. Final fitting

For single crowns and bridges, temporary crowns are normally used to ensure that the correct gum profile has been created for the best possible aesthetic result. The final implant-supported crown or bridge (artificial tooth) is fitted approximately a month later, and will leave you with a perfect new smile.

In-house technology

Our innovative technology

We use only the most advanced dental technology to get accurate, detailed impressions of your teeth and gums, for more precise treatment and better results.

  • CBCT scanner

Our specialist CBCT scanner generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths, and bone in the face; much more detailed than what we can get from a traditional X-ray. This means we can more precisely plan your treatment, and all our dental implant treatments can be provided in-house, without the need to go to a hospital or a third-party lab for analysis.

  • Intraoral scanner

With the use of an advanced state-of-the-art intraoral scanner, we’ve moved away from the traditional dental tray and putty method of getting teeth impressions, which can create discomfort, gagging, and an overall unpleasant experience for patients. The intraoral scanner allows us to get extremely accurate teeth impressions and more accurately plan your treatment.

Dr Kamal Singh Missan

Meet Dr Kamal Singh Missan

My aim has always been simple: to give every patient the highest level of dentistry in a gentle, professional, and caring way. I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2004 and have dedicated the years since to mastering the most complex areas of dental surgery.

I completed a two-year implant training programme at the Royal College of Surgeons of England — the gold standard in this field — and went on to earn the advanced certificate in implant surgery, recognising my skills in block bone and maxillary sinus grafting. I’m one of only a handful of dentists in the UK to have received this recognition.

I accept referrals from dental practices across the region, and I train and coach other dentists in implant techniques. If you’ve been told implants aren’t possible for you, I’d love to meet you and see what’s truly possible.

All-on-4 Dental Implants FAQs

What’s the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6 dental implants?

Both techniques are used to replace a full arch of missing teeth. All-on-4 uses four implants, while All-on-6 uses six for added stability. The choice depends on your oral health, bone density, and clinical needs—your dentist will advise you on the best solution.

How long does it take to heal after dental implant placement?

Healing typically takes between 3 to 6 months, depending on your bone health and whether bone grafting was required. In some cases, a temporary crown or bridge can be placed on the same day for immediate aesthetics and function.

Do I need a hospital visit or can everything be done at Hilton Dental Clinic?

Everything can be done in-house at Hilton Dental Clinic. We use advanced technology including CBCT scans and intraoral scanners to plan and deliver your entire implant treatment without the need for referrals to external hospitals or labs.

What is an All-on-4 dental implant?

All-on-4 is a full-arch tooth replacement technique where a complete set of fixed teeth is supported by just four strategically placed implants. Unlike traditional dentures, your new teeth are permanently fixed — no removal, no adhesive, no instability. Most patients receive their provisional fixed teeth on the same day as surgery. All-on-4 is ideal for patients who have lost most or all of their natural teeth, or who are facing teeth that can no longer be saved.

I've been told I don't have enough bone for implants — can you still help?

Very possibly, yes. Many patients are told they’re unsuitable for implants at general practices that don’t offer advanced bone grafting. Kamal holds the advanced certificate in implant surgery for complex cases — including block bone grafting and maxillary sinus grafting — which can create the bone volume needed for implants even where significant bone loss has occurred. If you’ve been turned away elsewhere, book a consultation and let Kamal assess what’s truly possible.

Is the dental implant procedure painful?

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you’ll feel no pain during surgery — just some pressure and sensation. As one of our patients told us: “the whole procedure was painless.” If you’re particularly anxious, please mention this when you book — we can discuss sedation options to help you feel completely relaxed. Post-operatively, some mild soreness and swelling is normal for a few days and is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief.

How much do full jaw (All-on-4) dental implants cost in Nottingham?

Full jaw dental implants at Hilton Dental start from £12,500 per arch. Your consultation is free. 0% finance is available on all treatment plans. Book your free consultation to receive a personalised quote based on your specific clinical situation.

How long does the All-on-4 procedure take from start to finish?

The journey begins with a free consultation and 3D scan to plan the surgery precisely. The surgical day — where your implants are placed and provisional fixed teeth fitted — typically takes a full day at our West Bridgford practice. Your final permanent restoration is fitted several months later once the implants have fully integrated. You’ll have functional fixed teeth throughout the entire healing period.

How long do dental implants last?

Dental implants are designed to be a lifetime solution. With proper care — regular brushing, flossing, and routine check-ups — the implant itself can last decades. The crown or bridge attached may need replacement after 10–15 years depending on wear. Implants consistently achieve success rates above 95% over 10 years.

Why choose Hilton Dental Clinic for implants over another Nottingham practice?

Kamal Singh Missan is one of the most highly qualified implant surgeons in the East Midlands. He holds the DipImplantDent RCS(Eng) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England plus the advanced certificate for complex bone grafting — one of only a handful of dentists in the UK to have earned this. Other dentists refer their hardest cases to Kamal, and he trains practitioners in implant techniques. At Hilton Dental, you’re not seeing a general dentist who also places implants; you’re with a dedicated implant surgeon with over 20 years of experience at a practice that has served Nottingham for 60+ years.
